The General Election 6 may 2010

I am voting Green in this election; in fact I am standing as a candidate for Fortune Green Ward (Camden) in the Local Elections, which are taking place on the same day. I am proud to say that I am a member of Green Left, a radical left alternative to the main parties.
Do you want to know why?
First, we are the only party who are prepared to invest in social housing:

 - read the manifesto http://www.greenparty.org.uk/policies/housing_2010.html here.

Gordon Brown has recently (Guardian, 30 April) gone on record as saying,

"Housing is essentially a private sector activity, let's be honest about this. We have renovated about two million houses over the period of the last 13 years. I do not see the need for us to continue with such big renovation programmes."
He added: "If you take our capital investment we have built hospitals, we have built schools, we have built roads, we have built infrastructure. You don't need to do that a second time."

Second, we are committed to renationalising the railways.

Third, we are opposed to all cuts in public services, especially the National Health Service.

Only Green, ecosocialist policies can achieve social and environmental justice!!
